Emergency Funding Appeal
Project Overview:
Since June 13th, Israel has been actively at war with Iran. All 10 million people of Israel are under missile attacks and are in real existential danger. With the country in a state of emergency, we bolstered all our branches with additional medical supplies, in order to meet the high demand for equipment– which often results from multiple injuries incurred from missile attacks and accidents while running to shelters and protected spaces.
Yad Sarah has opened its emergency storehouses and for now, we have been able to fill the many new requests – but demand is increasing. During this challenging social, security, and of course also medical time, .
in order to provide an appropriate response to the growing needs, we are turning to you, our partners in vision, to assist us in the emergency purchase of critical medical items:
Reclining Armchairs
Since Iran has begun its attacks on Israel, the number of emergency sirens to move to protected spaces has increased in frequency. In many homes with individuals that have mobility challenges, families have chosen to temporarily relocate individuals to the protected space or shelter in the home. These spaces are often communal, or small and not suitable for an entire home hospital bed. Instead caregivers are opting for the smaller, but still comfortable option of a reclining armchair which is the ideal solution allowing for a person to sleep at night, and rest during the day while taking up less space.
Cost per unit: $370.
“Sarah” Remote Health Monitoring System
Following the missile that impacted the Soroka Medical Center, the main hospital of the southern region, all hospitals across the country began operating in emergency mode, transferring their emergency activities to protected spaces. Accordingly many hospitals released thousands of hospitalized patients to at-home care, including the release of women only 12 hours following childbirth (compared to the standard 48 hours.).
These hospitalized patients still require consistent monitoring of their vitals. This will be performed remotely by medical personnel while patients are at home.
Cost per unit: $720.
Budget Breakdown:
Reclining armchairs (192 units) x $370 per unit | $71,040 |
Remote Health Monitoring System (1,0000 units) x $720 per unit | $720,000 |
Total Estimated Funding Required: | $ 791,040 |
We call on you, our partners in initiative, to join us in this vital project: To donate and to encourage others to donate for the sake of the entire country.
We pray for the success of our soldiers on the front and for a speedy recovery for the wounded. We strengthen the bereaved families in these difficult days and pray for the quick return of the hostages.
Thank you kindly in advance,
Yad Sarah
