Yad Sarah’s services are essential for the provision of care during times of crisis, as it is a designated national emergency organization.
Yad Sarah is in Emergency Mode as the Israeli home-front remains at risk due to the ongoing deadly Iran strikes.
Jerusalem, June 16, 2025 – Yad Sarah, the largest non-governmental healthcare and social services organization in Israel, has maintained a state of national emergency in response to the anticipated reprisal attacks by Iran, which were announced early on June 13th.
In the face of the current unprecedented threat to Israeli civilian populations, Yad Sarah teams are providing essential home health care and social assistance through a diverse array of services and equipment, all while adhering to the strictest safety standards and Homefront Command regulations.
Dedicated volunteers have risen to action, staffing branches across the country, including the Rehovot branch that sustained damage from missile fire last night. Regional and department administrators are working directly in the field to ensure the rapid continuity of care.
Yad Sarah’s Emergency Medical Hotline has responded to 2,207 emergency calls from across the country since the launch of Israel’s “Operation Rising Lion” against Iran.
- 456 respiratory emergencies that required the dispatch of medical assistance
- 212 cardiac events requiring immediate ambulance evacuation
- 789 medical inquiries handled through professional consultation and follow-up instructions
- 52 doctor house calls
- 621 falls on the way to protected shelters, requiring neighbors, relatives, or lifting responders to be summoned
- 77 calming/support calls managed by the hotline’s trained staff
