Family members of patients at the neighboring Shaare Zedek Hospital will have a place to relax while caring for loved ones thanks to the specially designed hospitality apartments.
Israel’s Jerusalem, March 31, 2025 — A group from the Jewish Federation of Broward County was received by Yad Sarah, Israel’s premier non-governmental healthcare and social services organization, for a ceremony honoring Jared Benjamin Beinenfeld by dedicating two hospitality suites. Local philanthropist Beth Solomon, Lisa Henry, chair of the Women’s Philanthropy Board and member of the Board of Directors, and Cindi Jacobs, Carol Lasek-Bienenfeld, and Scott Bakal, part of the group from JFOB’s County’s Directors.
Families of patients residing at Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem will be able to stay in the special suites, which are only a short stroll from Yad Sarah’s Jerusalem offices. In addition to providing families with a warm place to stay close to their loved ones, this effort seeks to lessen the hardship of travel.
The team met Flora, the facilities manager, who started helping at Yad Sarah headquarters after being evacuated from Shlomi, on Israel’s northern border, to Jerusalem at the beginning of the war, when they volunteered at the organization’s washing facilities following the dedication ceremony. They learned about the wide range of services offered by Yad Sarah during their tour of the organization’s offices, which marked the end of the day.
